The science

What is
chrono‑nutrition?

Most people think about what they put in their bodies. Rarely does anyone think about when.

The timing gap, and the lack of knowledge around it, is the problem. Your body operates on a 24-hour biological cycle that determines when you’re primed to absorb nutrients, produce energy, and actually feel the difference mentally and physically.

The science behind this earned the Nobel Prize in Physiology in 2017. It’s not a wellness trend. It’s how your biology truly works.

The most important moment in that cycle is the 30 to 60 minutes after you wake up. Your body is coming out of an overnight fast, your hormones are mid-sequence, and your cells are ready. Most people grab coffee and move on, closing the window to the results their mind and body need.

Here’s what actually happens while you sleep

Sleep isn’t rest.
It’s maintenance.

Your body spends 7–9 hours burning through stored glycogen, losing roughly a liter of fluid through respiration and sweat, rebuilding damaged tissue with the vitamins and minerals it used up in the process, and running its nightly hormonal reset cycle.

By the time you wake up, you’re dehydrated at the cellular level, running low on micronutrients, and your blood is at its thickest of the day, which partly explains why 49% of strokes happen between 6 AM and noon.

(Your morning coffee doesn’t fix any of this. It just makes you feel like it did.)

Six systems. One scoop.

The six problems PreDay was engineered to solve.

Every ingredient targets what your body needs right after waking: hydration, cortisol support, energy, and mental clarity. Not general wellness. Optimal nutrition, taken at the moment it matters most.

01
Hydration

Cellular rehydration, not just water.

7–9 hours without fluid drains the intracellular electrolytes your cells need for enzyme function and energy production. Drinking water alone doesn’t fix this. Cellular rehydration requires specific electrolytes in the right ratios. PreDay opens with them.

02
Cortisol

Work with your cortisol peak, not against it.

Within 30 minutes of waking, cortisol spikes 50–100%. Your body’s natural alertness window and your peak for clarity and output. Most people add caffeine on top, spiking it further and accelerating the crash: borrowed energy from your afternoon self. PreDay supports the curve instead of hijacking it.

03
Cognition

Raw materials for a waking brain.

Sleep depletes the precursors your brain needs to produce dopamine, serotonin, and acetylcholine. The mental fog you feel isn’t tiredness. It’s your brain waiting for inputs it needs to rebuild. Those inputs aren’t in your breakfast. They’re in the scoop.

04
Cellular energy

Flip the switch from repair to output.

Your mitochondria spend the night in maintenance, clearing damaged proteins, recycling cellular components. Without the right signal, the switch from repair mode to energy production is slow. This is why you can sleep 8 hours and still feel low-grade fatigue for the first hour.

05
Cardiovascular

Support your blood at its thickest.

Overnight dehydration increases blood viscosity. Combined with your cortisol spike, your cardiovascular system is under more strain in the first few hours of the day than at any other time. 49% of strokes and most heart attacks occur between 6 AM and noon. This is not a coincidence.

06
Circadian reset

One signal. Every organ.

Every organ has its own peripheral circadian clock. The first nutrients you consume each morning set all of them simultaneously. This is the science behind the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology. Your first scoop isn’t breakfast. It’s a system-wide signal.
